Scalable energy storage is the key to solving renewables’ unpredictability and making renewable energy available where and when needed.  Amongst various energy storage technologies, vanadium redox flow batteries have long been regarded as one of the best solutions for medium to large energy storage requirements. Vanadium redox flow batteries are also referred to as ‘open systems” where power and energy can be independently sized, and the energy is stored in the form of electrolytes (an aqueous solution)
